I’ve been a huge advocate of grounding for years, and practice it every day.
You see, the Earth is an excellent source of electrons that can pass into our bodies through the sweat glands in our hands or feet. The electrons start flowing in about 60 seconds, so you can reap the benefits quickly.
Those electrons from the ground help keep oxidative stress and inflammation in check, while supporting the health of our mitochondria – the tiny energy centers in our cells.
And all of that can add up to major relief for women suffering from menopause symptoms.
In a study out of Korea, 60 women with an average age of 56 were split into two groups. Half walked barefoot three times a week, 60 minutes per session – and the other half didn’t.
After just 12 weeks, the differences were remarkable.
The women who practiced grounding reduced their menopause symptoms by more than half – and they improved their sleep quality by 27%, too.

I live in Arizona, so that’s pretty easy for me – but I understand it can be a bit too cold to go barefoot outside in many parts of the country this time of year.
You can try alternating feet for a couple minutes at a time during the day when it’s a little warmer. Or you can do the same with a bare, ungloved hand (again, alternating hands).
Just use good sense, based on the weather – and always make sure you practice grounding away from any power lines.
