Looking at 42 healthy people between 55 and 75 years old, they found that these nutrients did indeed boost blood levels of vitamin C and zinc—both of which are required for proper immune function.

And while the percentage of people who got sick was the same in both the supplement and placebo groups, the symptoms were much less severe in the supplement group, and the people were sick for HALF the amount of time.

The study authors called the difference between the groups “striking.”

It’s not too soon to load up on important immune-boosting nutrients like these.

After all, with cases of coronavirus still climbing, you won’t want to wait until winter to make sure your immune system is nice and strong.
