The 60-Second Secret to “Young” Cells
It’s amazing what we put ourselves through to slow the hands of time.
The special diets… the exercise routines… all the anti-wrinkle creams and lotions that are supposed to make us look like our high school yearbook photo again.
Did you know Americans spend $14 BILLION on anti-aging products every single year?
Meanwhile, one of the best anti-aging remedies around doesn’t cost a dime…
It can help your cells make a fresh new supply of youthful energy… it can stop the harmful toxins that can lead to skin damage, premature aging, and even disease.
And even better?
It only takes 60 seconds… and you can get started today.
I’ve talked to you about the health benefits of grounding before – establishing a connection between your bare skin and the Earth.
And it’s not just theory for me – I practice grounding daily, and I know it has helped me stay youthful and energized, even now in my 70s.
You see, the Earth is an excellent source of free electrons. You absorb them through the sweat glands in your skin, and they are essential to the health of our mitochondria – the energy centers of our cells.
In a recent study out of the University of California, Davis, researchers tested the effects of grounding on mitochondrial performance for a group of mice. The mice who got the benefit of grounding:
- Produced up to 11% more ATP, the energy currency of our cells
- Reduced production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by up to one-third. These ROS cause oxidative stress, tissue damage, and inflammation, which can all result in premature aging and even disease.
That’s right – these mice produced MORE cellular energy and LESS damaging toxins, all by collecting those free electrons from the Earth.
Now, of course, this was a study on mice. And that’s how it usually goes with research on free, natural remedies – there’s no money to be made, so the drug companies aren’t handing out billions in research grants.
But there have been some impressive human studies on grounding.
2015 researcher out of the University of California at Irvine showed that just one hour of grounding improved blood circulation.
And a 2018 pilot study run out of a cardiology practice had a group of 10 patients with hypertension practice grounding for months – and all 10 of them reduced their blood pressure numbers.
Now, the best way to ground is to place your bare feet directly on the Earth – no concrete or pavement. And the electrons start flowing quickly – in as little as 60 seconds.
But I try to ground for at least 40 minutes twice a day.
I know that can be a little tricky this time of year, especially if you live in a colder climate.
But there are a couple of other strategies you can try. You can wear shoes with leather soles, which still allow for the transfer of electrons.
You can also try grounding one foot or one hand (yes, hands work, too) at a time, in intervals of just a few minutes.
Just make sure you don’t overdo it in the cold, and you always want to pick a grounding location that is away from power lines.
