The BEST Time to Drink Coffee
As a Natural Health Today reader, you know that WHEN is just as important as WHAT when it comes to your health.
For example, eating late at night is associated with weight gain, digestive issues, sleep disruptions, hormonal changes, and more.
Why?
Because your body has an internal clock called your circadian rhythm that follows the timing of the sun.
Today, I want to tell you how to give an already healthy drink a supercharge… just by changing WHEN you drink it.
Coffee is one of my favorite health drinks.
Drinking about three cups daily is linked to a reduced risk of
- heart disease,
- type 2 diabetes,
- and cancer.
Plus, coffee drinking is associated with better brain function and a longer life.
But researchers wanted to see if when people drank their coffee impacted its health benefits.
As you probably guessed, it does.
After studying data on over 40,000 people, researchers found that folks who drank coffee in the MORNING had a 16 percent reduced risk of death, and 31 percent reduced risk of dying from heart disease.
However, drinking coffee later in the day did NOT appear to lower the risk of mortality.
While this study didn’t look into why this was the case, it likely has to do with your circadian rhythm.
Drinking coffee in the afternoon may impact melatonin production, which can affect your sleep and heart risks.
The bottom line is that drinking coffee is great for your health, and drinking your two to three cups in the morning will give you the biggest bang for your buck.
P.S. Forbidden drink SLASHES colon cancer risk 32%.
