The True Cause of Alzheimer’s (SHOCKING!)
When it comes to Alzheimer’s, we’re always playing catchup.
The catch is that by the time you’ve been diagnosed, it’s too late.
It’s high time we got ahead of Alzheimer’s… and researchers have identified a new way to do that.
The study authors call their results “indisputable,” and their study gives us a definitive way to help get ahead of Alzheimer’s once and for all.
The study included 89 patients from 65-85 who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
PET scans measured their beta-amyloid plaque levels, a protein that is characteristic of Alzheimer’s disease and is linked to neurodegeneration.
And bloodwork identified proteins and markers of inflammation produced by specific intestinal bacteria (including lipopolysaccharides and short-chain fatty acids like acetate).
The researchers found a clear link between certain gut bacteria and the amount of beta-amyloid plaques in the brain.
In fact, they even believe that these bad bacteria might TRIGGER Alzheimer’s because the proteins produced by the gut bacteria may alter the responses of the nervous system and immune system.
That remains to be seen, but one fact was clear: The more bad bacteria in your gut, the more beta-amyloid plaques in your brain.
The study DIDN’T look into how to improve your gut bacteria, but plenty of other studies have shown us how to do that.
Here are 5 top ways to improve your gut health:
- Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables
- Eat produce in season
- Eat fermented foods
- Don’t eat a lot of sugar
- Take a probiotic supplement
Don’t play “catch-up” with Alzheimer’s. Get ahead of it by improving your gut health.
