[Warning] Popular Foods GIVING You Cancer
The drug companies… and even our government… keep spending BILLIONS looking for new ways to treat cancer.
But how’s this for an idea — why don’t we stop people from getting cancer in the first place?
Believe it or not, some of the foods sitting in your kitchen right now can send your risk of deadly cancer through the roof.
And cutting these foods out of your life could be the secret to living the healthy, cancer-free life you deserve.
A study published in the British Medical Journal showed the devastating impact junk food can have on your health…especially when it comes to cancer.
Researchers studied the eating habits of more than 100,000 people.
What they found was that the more ultra-processed foods you eat, the higher your risk of developing cancer. Specifically, every 10% increase in the amount of processed foods was linked to a 12% increase in some kind of cancer.
Some of the worst offenders included chicken nuggets, processed meat, mass-produced bread, and carbonated drinks.
By some estimates, these kinds of foods make up 50% of the average person’s diet!
That’s cancer just waiting to happen.
There are all sorts of factors at play here. For starters, highly processed food is loaded with additives, preservatives, flavorings, and sugars. Any one of these can negatively impact your body. Added together, they’re deadly.
This kind of diet also contributes to obesity, which is one of the most dangerous risk factors for developing cancer. Obesity accounts for 40% of all cancer diagnoses in the U.S.
This is due in part to the fact that it increases the risk of diabetes (itself a major risk factor for cancer), and in part because fat cells are highly inflammatory (another underlying factor in cancer development).
However you slice it, the connection between junk food, obesity, and cancer is pretty clear—and it’s not good.
Instead of waiting for the next cancer miracle cure to appear, you can make positive changes in your life—starting today—that will help prevent cancer from ever developing to begin with.
I hear some people say they can’t afford to eat healthy. But studies like this one make it clear that you can’t afford not to.
To a brighter day,
