This is the Year You Conquer Alzheimer’s
Happy New Year!
I hope you’re spending today surrounded by friends and family, making wonderful memories.
And today I want to focus on helping you KEEP those memories.
It’s no secret that Alzheimer’s rates have skyrocketed in recent years.
Uncle Sam has issued plenty of warnings, but as usual…no solutions.
But even though the statistics are climbing, you don’t have to be one of them.
Today I’m going to show you a simple way to protect yourself from Alzheimer’s—and all it takes is something you probably have in your pantry right now.
Extra virgin olive oil is already well-known for its ability to help your heart. But a recent study has shown that it works absolute wonders for your brain, too.
For this study, researchers used a group of mice genetically engineered to develop Alzheimer’s. Half got a diet rich in olive oil, and half didn’t.
And the differences were ENORMOUS.
The group that got the olive oil performed significantly better on working memory, spatial memory (like remembering your way home or the layout of your house), and learning ability.
Pretty much everything that matters.
Taking olive oil led to significant reductions in amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles—two of the main culprits behind Alzheimer’s disease.
Perhaps even more exciting, researchers discovered how it worked.
Turns out that olive oil activates a system in your nerve cells called autophagy. This system keeps cells healthy by clearing away harmful products—like the amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles that build up in Alzheimer’s.
It’s like your body’s trash collectors.
We’ve know for years that this system is impaired in Alzheimer’s patients. The main reason you haven’t heard about it is because Big Pharma hasn’t developed a drug yet that can do anything about it.
But who needs drugs when nature has already provided the perfect solution in olive oil?
It’s important to keep in mind that not all olive oils are created equal.
One specific brand I recommend is California Estate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This olive oil is unfiltered and cold-pressed.
In addition to using olives that were grown without pesticides, it contains three times more health-promoting polyphenols than other brands.
And that means more health bang for your buck.
