Your Frailty-Prevention Plan [Grow Older Gracefully]
It’s one thing to grow older.
It’s another to be old and frail.
That vulnerability shows up in increased risk of falls, fractures, disability, hospitalization, and death.
I think of it as a snowball effect: The older you get the more health issues pop up which then trigger even MORE health complaints.
That’s why today I want to tell you about a simple, 3-step frailty prevention plan.
This study included over 1,000 healthy older adults with an average age of 74. They were divided into eight groups to assess the effects of three different potential frailty solutions:
- vitamin D
- omega-3s
- a simple home exercise program
The researchers evaluated each of the treatments alone AND in various combinations.
After three years, NONE of the three treatments alone reduced the risk of becoming pre-frail.
But, the group that did all three together had significantly lower odds of starting that downward trend towards frailty in the following three years.
The bottom line is, there’s no single element that contributes to frailty. It’s impacted by a variety of things including muscle function, chronic inflammation, immune system regulation, cardiovascular health, and more.
So it makes sense that a multi-pronged solution would be needed to make a real impact.
Because of this, the most successful prevention plan is a comprehensive one that addresses it from multiple angles.
Ultimately, it’s much easier to PREVENT frailty than it is to reverse it.
That’s why the time to get ahead of the decline is NOW—before the snowball effect makes it more difficult.
You can start by adding in the three solutions used in this study: vitamin D, omega-3s, and exercise.
P.S. It’s one thing to take steps to LOOK younger. It’s another to literally SLOW down your body’s aging process. It’s possible with the SINGLE BEST anti-aging tool that’s ever existed. Click here for full details.
