Painful Disease Poised to SKYROCKET in Seniors!
Osteoarthritis (OA), or degenerative joint disease, is already one of the most common causes of pain seniors face.
In fact, more folks battle OA than ANY other form of this devastating disease, regardless of age.
But researchers say that over the next two decades, the number of people living with this progressive, painful condition will SKYROCKET. And seniors are likely to suffer the most.
You can take steps right now to ensure you’re not one of them.
Osteoarthritis is a painful form of joint degeneration that occurs when the cartilage that cushions the ends of your joints wears down.
As the joints degenerate, it triggers inflammation, pain, stiffness, and limited mobility.
The knees, hips, and hands are the most common joints affected by OA.
The past 30 years have ALREADY seen alarming trends in osteoarthritis.
- In 1990, 256 million people had OA.
- By 2020, it had nearly doubled to 595 million.
That’s a 132 percent INCREASE over 30-years.
Now, new estimates indicate that more than 1 BILLION will be living with OA by 2030.
It’s hard to wrap our heads around a number THAT big, so let me put it in perspective. That’s how many people live in the U.S., Russia, Indonesia, and Bangladesh… COMBINED.
Researchers say there are three factors behind this alarming increase:
- aging
- population growth
- obesity
You can’t do anything about the first two factors, but you DO have control over the third. So, losing some weight is an excellent place to start if you’re carrying around some extra pounds.
However, you don’t have to be overweight to suffer from osteoarthritis.
No matter what the scale says, maintaining healthy joints requires feeding them foods that fight inflammation, strengthen connective tissue, and reinforce bones.
Besides cutting out processed, sugary junk foods, focus on eating healthy foods like nuts and seeds, cold-water fish, cruciferous vegetables, beans, olive oil, and fruit.
P.S. Already battling OA? Here’s how to tackle osteoarthritis pain NATURALLY.
