Heart-Related Deaths TRIPLED! [Here's WHY]
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. In fact, the CDC says it’s responsible for 1 in 5 deaths, killing someone every 33 seconds.
This is DESPITE the advanced testing methods, millions of people taking prescription heart drugs—like statins, ACE inhibitors, and aspirin—and the push for people to eat like rabbits.
Why can’t we seem to put a dent in the number of people suffering (and DYING) from heart disease?
The American Heart Association has finally uncovered an answer.
The culprit is directly responsible for a staggering increase in heart-related deaths over the past 20 years. And when you hear what it is, I’m betting you won’t be entirely surprised.
Obesity isn’t a problem because it makes people go up a few pants sizes. It’s a problem because of its damaging effects on the body.
It increases your risk of type 2 diabetes, cancer, arthritis, and more.
But according to a recent study, it’s especially tough on your heart.
The study, published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, found that over the past decade alone, there’s been a disturbing 10 percent jump in obesity.
That increase has led to a DRAMATIC rise in heart-linked deaths.
Researchers carefully analyzed the data from more than 281,000 deaths from 1999 to 2020 that listed obesity as a contributing cause of death.
They found that obesity-related heart deaths TRIPLED during that time.
At the same time, heart deaths NOT related to obesity actually decreased.
The main causes of the obesity-related deaths were hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis), heart attacks, and high-blood-pressure-linked conditions.
Of course, it’s not exactly news that obesity contributes to heart problems. But this is the FIRST study confirming obesity has sent the number of heart-related deaths SOARING.
With about 42 percent of Americans considered obese, our work is cut out for us.
But thankfully, we ALSO have the solution. Shed the extra pounds and shed the risk.
P.S. “Window” weight loss trick can help you ERASE dangerous belly fat…. for good.
