Discovered! The Antidote to Colon Cancer?
Dear Reader,
Fighting colon cancer is a lot like playing that arcade game Whack-a-Mole.
It just keeps popping up. It often returns and spreads – sometimes with a vengeance.
For years, scientists have been promising that resveratrol – the antioxidant found in grapes – could be the next great weapon in the fight against cancer.
But it looks like they forgot one BIG part of the equation.
Because researchers have just discovered a simple way to SUPERCHARGE resveratrol’s cancer-fighting benefits.
And you may end up beating your colon cancer in the bargain.
When researchers combined resveratrol with another part of the grape – grape seeds – they found that the combination was especially effective at combatting colon cancer.
The researchers gave both grape extracts to mice with colon cancer tumors, and they found that the extracts cut the number tumors by an impressive 50 percent.
The combination was also found to be extremely effective at killing colon cancer cells.
Just as importantly, resveratrol and grape seed extracts were NOT toxic to healthy cells.
This is critical because it avoids the key problem with chemotherapy drugs – the fact that they kill cancer cells and healthy cells alike.
And while both nutrients were only somewhat effective on their own, it’s really the combination that is key when it comes to combatting colon cancer.
This is just the latest in a long line of studies detailing the benefits of the mighty grape.
Literally thousands of studies have been conducted on resveratrol’s benefits, with some of the most important showing that it increases blood flow, reduces oxidative stress and inflammation (two underlying factors in just about every disease condition), improves mental function, and helps combat cancer.
Grape seeds are impressive in their own right.
In addition to being powerful antioxidants, grape seeds also contain compounds called oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes (CPCs), which have antioxidant activity PLUS antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties.
And that’s the short list.
Like resveratrol, grape seeds are good for your heart and your brain – and they’ve also been found to help combat diabetic complications.
You might be wondering if you can get all of these benefits simply by eating grapes.
Yes and no. Eating this fruit undoubtedly contributes to a healthy lifestyle. But it would be impossible to eat enough grapes to get the specific therapeutic benefits found in these studies.
That’s where supplements come in.
In addition to resveratrol, you can buy grape seed extract at just about any online or brick-and-mortar vitamin shop.
Remember to take them both to get maximum cancer protection.
