[Warning] New Cell Phone Dangers
Every time a new study comes out on cell phones, it confirms what we already knew:
These hand-held pieces of technology are destroying our health.
Previous studies have shown they increase the risk of brain tumors and decrease your brain power (it’s true!).
Now, the latest study adds another major health problem to the list—and this one will make you second guess making that next phone call.
These days, it's rare to see a teenager without a cell phone glued to his head.
There are even some kids as young as 9 or 10 who have call phones. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
If that sounds like your grandchild, then you'll want pay close attention to the most recent warning about the dangers of cell phones.
The latest study published in Environmental Health Perspectivesfound that using cell phones impacts memory performance in adolescents.
Occasional use wasn't a problem…but since when do kids use a cell phone OCCASIONALLY?
Never, that’s when.
That's why the researchers specifically evaluated the effects of cumulative exposure over a one-year period.
And what they found is alarming.
Their results showed that cumulative exposure to cell phones over a one-year period had a negative effect on the development of figural memory performance in adolescents.
This particular brain function is located in the right hemisphere of the brain—the side of the head most people have their phones pressed to.
But ultimately, it doesn’t really matter which ear you choose to hold your phone to.
The problem is that every time you make a phone call, you're not just pressing your phone to your ear, you're sending radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) directly into your brain.
This study confirmed the findings from a smaller investigation from a few years ago on the impact of cell phones on memory.
I'd like to think that findings like these would make people think twice about their excessive cell phone use…but I know that's just wishful thinking.
Kids aren't likely to use the phone LESS, but they can use their phones more SAFELY.
Simple precautions like using the speakerphone option or using headphones will help keep harmful radiation from having such direct access to your brain.
And when it comes to avoiding this invisible threat to your brain, every little bit helps.
To a brighter day,
