“Super Drink” STOPS Heart Attacks
Ask most doctors how to prevent a heart attack, and they’ll give you the standard reply.
Ditch all the junk food, lose 20 pounds, and work out every single day.
That’s not bad advice… except NOBODY is going to do it.
I’ve been practicing medicine for nearly 40 years. And I know that asking people to make major lifestyle changes is a losing battle.
So I’m going to keep it really simple for you.
I’m going to show you an easy way to slash your risk of EVER having a heart attack.
And all you have to do is brew one simple drink each morning.
Want to avoid becoming the next heart attack statistic?
Drink green tea.
It may really be that simple.
Green tea contains a compound called EGCG that has numerous heart-protective properties.
A previous study found that people who drink the most green tea have a 26% reduced risk of death from heart attack or stroke.
And a meta-analysis published last year showed that people who drank the most green tea had a 28% lower risk of coronary artery disease.
Many of these benefits can be traced by to EGCG’s impact on your blood vessels.
Atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, occurs when plaque builds up in the arteries, making them more narrow and hard.
Eventually, the vessels can become so obstructed that they lead to a heart attack.
This latest study on EGCG found that it can break up dangerous plaques in your blood vessels, clearing the way for the blood to flow more freely.
EGCG binds to amyloid fibers of apoA-1, converting them to smaller, less damaging molecules.
This might seem like a simple action, but it could go a long way to preventing the heart attacks (and strokes) that can occur as a result of atherosclerosis.
This falls right in line with studies showing that green tea can also help reduce Alzheimer’s risk. That’s because it is able to break up those dangerous brain plaques (beta amyloid proteins) that are the hallmark of the disease.
This is the latest in a long line of studies showing the benefits of drinking green tea. Other impressive ones include helping fight arthritis joint pain, improving memory, and reducing obesity.
You can pick up green tea just about anywhere these days. I drink it all the time… and you should do the same.
