Food Trick SLASHES Breast Cancer Risk
When it comes to stopping breast cancer, mainstream medicine doesn’t have much useful to say.
They’ll talk all about the benefits of early detection – but that only catches cancer AFTER you already have it.
I think we can do better…
In fact, there’s a special type of omega-3 fatty acid that’s 8 TIMES more effective at stopping a particularly deadly form of breast cancer from developing.
Here how to make sure you’re getting enough of it.
To determine the best source of omega-3s for fighting cancer, researchers fed three different types of omega-3s to mice with a highly aggressive form of breast cancer called HER-2.
This type of breast cancer accounts for 25% of breast cancer cases, and its prognosis isn’t good.
As with all cancers, the earlier you catch it, the better. But wouldn’t it be better if you could just prevent it altogether?
That’s where omega-3s come in.
Previous studies have already shown the some of the components of omega-3s (DHA and EPA) can stop breast tumors from growing. That’s because they turn on certain immune system genes, while blocking tumor growth pathways.
This study had similar encouraging results: No matter what source the omega-3s came from, overall tumors shrunk by 60%-70%, and the number of tumors were reduced by 30%.
The omega-3s were literally STOPPING the cancer from developing and progressing.
Those are great results, and they provide even more reason to make sure you’re getting plenty of omega-3s.
But remember, this study also analyzed multiple sources of omega-3s to determine how to get the strongest protection.
And there was one superstar that FAR outperformed the competition: salmon.
While we’ve already established that omega-3s from any source provide potent anti-cancer benefits, the researchers found that the marine source of salmon was an astonishing EIGHT TIMES more effective than the popular plant source, flaxseeds.
The benefits of getting omega-3s—specifically from salmon—keep adding up.
It’s the reason I eat it 2-3 times a week, and I hope you’ll start adding it to your dinner rotation as well—especially if you’re concerned about breast cancer.
Just make sure it’s wild-caught, which is the healthiest.
