SUPERCHARGE Your Exercise Results (EASY!)
I like to stay fit and active.
I also like to make the most of my time.
So when I saw a study that suggested a way to get even more benefits from exercising, it caught my attention.
This study showed that you don’t have to work out harder—or longer—to obtain additional benefits.
You just have to work out smarter.
Here’s how to SUPERCHARGE your workouts.
We all know the benefits of exercise for your body.
And more and more studies are showing that it’s good for your mind as well.
Now, a study has revealed a way to SUPERCHARGE the benefits of exercise for mind and body.
In a study published in Scientific Reports, 148 military personnel underwent a 12-week exercise program that involved 45-minute workouts five days per week.
Half of the people also drank a special, nutrient-enhanced protein drink before and after the workout, while the other group drank a placebo drink.
The participants took tests of cognitive abilities and physical fitness before and after the 12-week program.
The exercise-only (non nutrient-enhanced drink) group experienced improvements in 5 out of 6 physical fitness measures, and in 4 of 8 cognitive functioning measures.
But the group exercising AND taking the nutrient-enhanced drink saw the most comprehensive, most dramatic improvements.
This included ALL six of the physical fitness measures.
They also improved in 6 of 8 cognitive measures, including short-term memory, executive function reaction time, and working memory.
So what did this superpowered drink contain? Here’s a list of its essential nutrients:
- Lutein
- Omega-3 fatty acids
- Phospholipids
- Beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate
- Folic acid
- B vitamins
- Vitamin D
It makes sense that supplying your body with more of the nutrients it needs would allow you to perform better on every level.
This study showed how it could help you maximize your exercise results as well.
