Weird Drink STOPS Alzheimer’s (AMAZING!)
There’s no cure for Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Not yet, anyway.
But there are ways to slow down the rate of decline—giving you more years of independence and quality of life.
A recent study has identified a specialized nutrient drink that can significantly reduce the rate of cognitive decline.
Given the lack of drug options for this devastating condition, staying ahead of the disease is your best course of action.
For a study published in the journal Alzheimer’s & Dementia, 300 adults with early-stage dementia took either a multi-nutrient formula or a placebo for three years.
The weirdly-named formula is called Fortasyn Connect, and it’s included in a medical drink called Souvenaid. Half of the people received the Souvenaid drink, and the other half received a placebo drink.
The people drinking Souvenaid had 20 percent less brain atrophy—and 40-70 percent less cognitive impairment—compared to those taking the placebo.
This translated to practical, real-world improvements, such as being better able to pay bills, remember directions, and handling emergencies.
The longer people drank the drink, the greater the positive effects.
Those who started consuming the drink in the earliest stage of disease experienced the greatest benefit.
Preclinical data has revealed that Souvenaid or its components enhance the formation and function of the synapses (or connections) between brain cells.
These results are very encouraging, especially given the few effective treatment options for people with Alzheimer’s.
Unfortunately, Souvenaid isn’t available for purchase right now. But you can find other supplements that contain the nutrients found in the Fortasyn Connect formula, whether together or separately.
The nutrients in Fortasyn Connect include:
- DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)
- EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)
- uridine-5′-mono-phosphate
- choline
- phospholipids
- antioxidants
- selenium, and
- B, C, and E vitamins
