Superstar Nutrients to END Heartburn (Shocking)
Acid reflux – heartburn — can be brutal.
For some people, the pain in their chest can be so excruciating that they mistake it for a heart attack.
But antacids and proton pump inhibitors are not the answer.
Drugs like these don’t address the underlying cause of your heartburn—and can make your problem worse in the long run.
So, the next time you find yourself with heartburn, nausea, or the belching associated with acid reflux, instead try these natural, superstar nutrients and put an END to your discomfort.
First, the problem with acid reflux is NOT too much acid.
It’s too much acid in the wrong place.
Having plenty of stomach acid is essential for efficient digestion and absorption of nutrients. So, suppressing it can cause a domino effect of health consequences in your body.
Ironically, one of the negative effects of not having enough stomach acid is heartburn and acid reflux!
There’s a compound called betaine hydrochloride (HCl) that increases stomach acid. Taking it along with the digestive enzyme pepsin has been shown to significantly reduce symptoms like stomach pain and burning.
Loading up on B vitamins can also do wonders for your heartburn.
Boosting various B vitamins can lower the risk of reflux esophagitis, which occurs when excess stomach acid causes your esophagus to become inflamed.
Increasing folate and vitamin B6 in particular have been linked to a lower risk of esophageal cancer and a condition known as Barrett’s esophagus—both of which can be long-term consequences of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
And, compared to an OTC heartburn treatment, 100 percent of those taking a supplement with vitamin B6, folic acid, B12, L-tryptophan, melatonin, betaine, and methionine experienced complete relief of heartburn symptoms after 40 days… compared to just 60 percent for those taking the drug.
Ginger is also well-known for settling nausea and upset stomachs—but it can bring relief for heartburn as well.
One study showed that taking 3 grams of ginger powder every day for four weeks improved symptoms of indigestion like stomach pain, feelings of fullness, and belching.
Last but not least, consider taking a quality probiotic.
In addition to boosting the overall health of your microbiome, probiotics can decrease symptoms of acid reflux.
One review of 13 studies showed that probiotics tended to improve numerous effects of GERD, including reducing regurgitation, decreasing heartburn, and reducing stomach pain and nausea.
Taking probiotics can also help negate some of the harmful effects on your gut flora caused by taking proton pump inhibitors for long periods of time.
P.S. If you need another reason to stop taking heartburn, research shows that this heartburn drug increases your arthritis risk as much as 44 percent! Click here for all of the details.
