The TRUE Cause of Chronic Pain (Shocking)
Chronic pain is a major problem here in the US.
An even bigger problem is that there aren’t any safe methods for treating it.
Opioids are highly addictive, and even OTC drugs like NSAIDs can increase your risk of heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, and bleeding.
But let’s get to the real question:
What’s causing this epidemic of pain to begin with?
Well, a groundbreaking study from researchers all over the country has answered that question… and it’s something that impacts all of us.
If you get to the root of your pain problem, it won’t matter if there are any effective treatments or not… because you won’t need them.
And in groundbreaking study, researchers have identified the real culprit of America’s chronic pain problem:
It’s your diet.
You know that fast foods, processed snacks, cured meats, cakes, chips—basically most items lining the center aisles of your grocery store — aren’t good for you.
Studies have linked foods high in omega-6 fats to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and an early death.
But this is one of the first studies to link them to chronic pain.
In a study published in the journal Nature Metabolism, researchers used multiple methods in both mice and in humans to look at the role of omega-6s in pain.
What they found was that diets high in these polyunsaturated fats were a significant risk factor for inflammatory and neuropathic pain.
Neuropathic pain is caused by damage or injury to your nerves that typically results in burning, shooting pain.
It’s often associated with type 2 diabetes.
The researchers also found that in diabetics, high skin levels of omega-6s were strong associated with pain levels and the need for pain-relieving drugs.
The good news?
They also found that reversing this diet—by reducing omega-6 intake and increasing omega-3 intake—can also significantly reduce chronic pain.
It makes sense that a highly inflammatory diet would contribute to inflammatory pain.
If you haven’t modified your diet already, what are you waiting for?
The health benefits far outweigh the momentary pleasure of a Big Mac.
