The TRUTH About Eating Eggs (Shocking)
What’s really best for your health
The incredible, edible egg.
It’s gotten a bad rap in recent years due to its cholesterol content.
But when it comes to eggs, I say — and so does science — the more the better.
However, not all eggs are created equal.
To get the most bang for your (health) buck, this is the only kind of egg you’ll want to eat.
Eggs are one of nature’s perfect foods – and you should be eating them every day!
They are a complete source of protein, which means they contain all the essential amino acids your body needs. And because they’re in a form your body can absorb, they are extra good for lowering blood pressure and increasing muscle mass.
They’re high in choline, a key nutrient for a healthy brain and nervous system.
They have a good amount of iron, which helps battle fatigue, carries oxygen throughout the body, and creates serotonin.
A big reason why I love them is because they are just a few foods that can provide you with vitamin D, which helps regulate your immune system, and is also well known for keep your bones and teeth strong.
But some eggs have more vitamin D than others.
Research has shown that eggs from free-range chickens have higher levels of vitamin D.
In fact, eggs from outdoor chickens have as much as 6 times MORE vitamin D than their indoor counterparts!
The reason why?
Sunshine!
Your body synthesizes vitamin D from sunlight, and science has suggested that the same process occurs in animals.
Other studies have shown that free-range eggs also have higher amounts of omega-3s, vitamin E, and beta carotene.
If you’re going to eat eggs—and you should—why not make them the healthiest ones possible?
In addition to free-range, look for ones that are organic, and that are stamped with the Certified Humane seal.
This means your eggs did NOT come from a factory farm.
The healthier the chicken—lots of movement, free water, a healthy diet—the happier the chicken.
Happy chickens = better eggs.
