“Strong” Leafy Green BLOCKS Colon Cancer
Slash colon cancer risk by 50 percent
Colon cancer is already the third leading cause of cancer deaths in the US — and it’s been increasing at an alarming rate, especially in middle-aged individuals.
That’s why the recommended age for colonoscopies has dropped to age 45.
I’m all for catching cancer early, but wouldn’t you rather not develop cancer in the first place?
Here’s something that can help…
Researchers have identified a “strong” and powerful leafy green that can slash your risk of colon cancer by 50 percent.
Colonoscopies have saved thousands of lives over the years.
People who undergo colonoscopies at the recommended 10-year intervals are
- 46 percent less likely to develop colon cancer, and
- 88 percent less likely to DIE of colon cancer.
That’s because the screening identifies polyps in your intestines BEFORE they have a chance to turn into a deadly cancer.
That’s where spinach comes in.
It’s the same leafy green that the famous cartoon character, Popeye, chowed down on to give him “strong” and “powerful” muscles.
Well it turns out, it can be just as strong when it comes to fighting colon cancer.
Previous research has shown that spinach can help combat colon cancer, and now researchers have found out why.
It turns out that spinach delays the growth of the polyps that can turn into colon cancer.
In fact, by inhibiting polyp growth, spinach has the potential to reduce colon cancer by as much as 50 percent.
With the numbers of colon cancer victims increase in number — and decreasing in age—each year, you should be doing everything you can do to stay ahead of this deadly cancer.
Consuming spinach on a regular basis could be a key way to do that.
Besides helping prevent colon cancer, spinach has plenty of other reasons to make it a regular part of your diet.
It’s great for your heart. It’s loaded with vitamin K1 and with glutathione — a key antioxidant that helps fight oxidative stress and support your immune system.
It also contains folate, which helps lower homocysteine — which can help prevent plaque from building up in your arteries.
Bottom line?
Follow Popeye’s advice and eat more spinach.
