NEVER Get Knee Surgery [SCAM ALERT]
It’s not unusual for patients to ask me about knee surgery for a painful condition like osteoarthritis.
If you’re in the same boat, I’ll tell you what I tell them:
Knee surgery is NOT the solution to your knee pain.
In addition to its high price tag, the results don’t last forever. Knee replacement is rarely a one-and-done deal, regardless of what you’ve been told.
Worst of ALL? The surgery rarely eliminates the pain. (Talk about a scam!)
Fortunately, there are MANY ways to reduce your knee pain without resorting to surgery. And the one I’m going to share with you today might be the EASIEST yet.
It shouldn’t be surprising that carrying around extra weight is hard on your knees. Tote it around long enough, and your knees start talking to you.
And after a while they’ll start yelling.
Unfortunately, it only takes a little bit of extra weight to put a BIG strain on your knees.
In a recent study, researchers looked through data from 23 studies to investigate the connection between weight gain and knee osteoarthritis.
They found that 11 extra pounds was all it took to increase a woman’s risk of having a knee replacement by 34 percent! For men, 11 extra pounds was tied to a 25 percent increased risk.
Overall, they found that as weight increased, their knee pain worsened—and so did their osteoarthritis.
If you’re experiencing knee issues, losing weight should be the first step to helping reduce your pain.
Next, skip the NSAIDs. These drugs can cause mild to severe side effects—even in the short term. Taking them long-term for a degenerative condition like osteoarthritis is just asking for trouble.
That’s why I prefer krill oil. Research shows it can help relieve knee pain and stiffness while improving physical function.
After that, there are some tried-and-true treatments that not only reduce the pain—but that work on healing the ROOT CAUSE of the pain itself.
These solutions have been proven to regrow cartilage.
You can read about these relatively unknown treatments in the December issue of my newsletter Natural Health Response. Stay tuned!
