"Mug Miracle" REVERSES Blood Sugar Spikes
You don’t have to be diabetic to suffer the effects of too much sugar in your blood.
High glucose levels don’t care about your diagnosis (or lack of one). They go right ahead and damage your arteries, blood vessels, and nerves anyway.
And whether you realize it or not, your blood sugar soars every time you indulge in a high-carb or sugary food.
But recent research uncovered a surprising solution. Downing a mug of THIS delicious drink can reverse those damaging blood sugar spikes.
Researchers recruited 24 non-diabetic or pre-diabetic adult volunteers for this small but exciting study.
All the participants were given a sugar-filled drink to produce a quick blood sugar spike. Then each volunteer drank either black tea or a placebo drink immediately afterward.
Folks who were given the black tea had significantly reduced blood glucose levels 60 minutes after downing the sugary drink.
In other words, ordinary black tea quickly reduced soaring blood sugar levels limiting their potential damage.
Now, of course, this isn’t an invitation to go ahead and scarf down massive amounts of sugar. But it can help you dodge some of the damage elevated blood sugars cause when you do indulge.
You should still limit your sugar and carb intake and choose foods with a low-glycemic index whenever possible.
Low-glycemic foods like vegetables, yogurt, and certain fruits gradually raise your blood sugar. While high-glycemic foods, including starches like rice, potatoes, and pasta, and snacks like pretzels, donuts, and soda, cause spikes.
Even if your HbA1c levels (a measurement of blood sugar over time) are normal, after-meal blood sugar spikes can cause fatigue and hunger in the short term. Over the long term, those same spikes can cause issues with your kidneys, nerves, eyes, and heart.
The next time you eat a high-sugar food, be sure to follow it up with a mug of black tea to protect yourself from a damaging blood sugar spike.
P.S. It turns out that driving down diabetes risk and building up better blood-sugar control could be as simple as focusing on your GUT. Just not how you might think. Click here for all the details.
