The Secret to PREVENTING Melanoma
Melanoma cases have skyrocketed in recent years.
With so many folks diligently slathering on sunscreen and staying indoors these days, have you ever wondered why?
Well, a recent study identified a key nutrient that can DRAMATICALLY reduce your risk of melanoma—even in high-risk individuals.
And this “surprising” discovery happens to highlight a troubling truth…
What the mainstream has been preaching about skin cancer for all these years is ENTIRELY WRONG.
This study focused on nearly 500 people with an increased risk of skin cancer. The researchers looked at vitamin D supplement use and blood levels of vitamin D.
Results showed that the folks who regularly took vitamin D supplements had significantly fewer cases of melanoma than non-users.
And their risk of skin cancer was cut by more than half!
The D users also tended to be classified in a lower-risk skin cancer category. In fact, even folks who only took vitamin D supplements occasionally had a lower risk of melanoma.
Plus, research shows that greater vitamin D absorption is linked to a reduced risk of melanoma progression.
I can’t help but wonder if it’s occurred to these researchers (and the rest of the medical community) that everything they tell you about the sun and skin cancer is contradictory.
On the one hand, they warn you that you need more vitamin D to reduce your risk of skin cancer. While on the other they tell you to avoid your body’s BEST SOURCE of vitamin D – the sun!
They tell you to stay out of the sun and to cover up with sunscreen and hats when you’re outside—which most people dutifully obey.
Yet skin cancer rates have shot up by 31 percent in just the past 10 years alone!
This increase isn’t a coincidence. It’s a DIRECT RESULT of the harm that can come to your body by avoiding its number one ally: the sun.
It’s not surprising that a study like this showed that increasing your body’s vitamin D level can reduce your skin cancer risk.
But a BETTER way to obtain that protection is by getting it directly from the sun.
There are safe—and unsafe—ways to spend time in the sun. I’ll be talking about those in detail—including the connection between the sun and skin cancer—in the February issue of my Natural Health Response newsletter.
