Mineral Secret to A YOUNGER Brain
Let’s face it. When it comes to dementia, your best bet is to AVOID getting the condition in the first place.
There’s currently no cure. And all conventional medicine has to offer are drugs to help you manage some of the symptoms.
Those meds can range from mildly effective to completely useless (and, in at least one case, downright dangerous).
But recent research has revealed a way to raise your chances of dodging dementia.
And incredibly, this all-natural mineral secret could give you a YOUNGER brain.
Dementia is a thief.
It robs you of your memory and then it goes on to steal your independence and your dignity.
Eventually, it snatches away your sense of self.
But a study published in the European Journal of Nutrition recently uncovered a game-changing piece of the puzzle.
The UK Biobank is a long-term study being conducted in the United Kingdom. The research gathers in-depth genetic and health information from half a million volunteers.
It’s a treasure trove of data that can be used to help us solve some of our biggest medical mysteries.
Well, a team of researchers examined the cases of over 6,000 cognitively healthy (ages 40 to 73) participants in the UK Biobank. And they spotted something incredible.
A “normal” magnesium intake is 360 mg a day. But folks who consumed over 500 mg of the mineral daily by 55 had a brain age of around a year YOUNGER than their peers.
The increased magnesium intake appears to SLOW brain aging and drives down dementia risk as a result.
Previous studies have linked LOWER magnesium to a HIGHER risk for Alzheimer’s. And folks who eat more magnesium-rich food also appear to be at a lower risk for cognitive impairment.
So this new piece of the puzzle fits perfectly into the picture we’ve been developing of this cruel disease.
Magnesium-rich foods include whole grains, dark leafy greens (like spinach), pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, lentils, beans, almonds, cashews, milk, and yogurt.
Now, of course, getting more magnesium in your diet isn’t a guarantee that you’ll never be diagnosed with dementia.
But I happen to believe that nature provides us with everything we need to remain healthy and vibrant well into our twilight years.
And the evidence is building that boosting your magnesium intake could protect your brain and reduce your risk of ever getting that devastating news.
P.S. Getting more magnesium to slow your brain aging is a great start. But don’t stop there. You can improve cognitive function and protect against memory loss with this potent mushroom. CLICK HERE for the details.
