IGNORE This Advice to SURVIVE Skin Cancer?!
Cancer can leave you feeling powerless.
Sometimes treatments work… and sometimes they don’t.
It feels like a toss of the coin… but it doesn’t have to.
Many factors affect how successful a treatment is. Some include the cancer itself (like how aggressive it is or whether it’s already spread), while others are about how your body responds to the treatments.
Ironically, when it comes to skin cancer, the VERY thing the mainstream warns you to stay away from could be the X Factor that keeps you alive.
The mainstream insists that the sun CAUSES skin cancer.
A closer look at the science makes it clear that that’s just not true.
In fact, not only will sunlight not cause skin cancer… but it could be the key to surviving LONGER if you already have it.
A recent study found that in cases of advanced skin cancer, patients with normal vitamin D levels responded BETTER to immunotherapy medications called checkpoint inhibitors.
Specifically, 56 percent of patients with normal vitamin D had a favorable response rate, compared to 36 percent in those with low vitamin D.
The results held true whether folks started with adequate vitamin D or obtained healthy levels by taking supplements.
And in the real world, that positive response translated into LIVING LONGER.
On average…
- those with adequate vitamin D went 11.25 months with progression-free survival
- those with low vitamin D only went 5.75 months
It’s true. You can’t control much when it comes to cancer. But you CAN control your vitamin D levels.
I wish I could tell you that vitamin D could cure your cancer outright. It can’t. But this study makes it clear that it could buy you far more precious time.
The three ways to increase your D levels are:
- Sunlight. Your body produces vitamin D in response to UVB rays that occur with midday sun (generally between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., depending on your location).
- Food. Although food isn’t a great source of D, those that contain it in small amounts include fatty fish, egg yolks, and fish liver oils.
- Supplements. Vitamin D is available as a supplement. I recommend getting your blood levels tested so that you’ll know exactly how much you need to take.
P.S. Research reveals a readily available and shockingly cheap nutrient could be the key to PREVENTING skin cancer in the first place. CLICK HERE for the full story.
