SHOCKING New Cause of Death Is SKYROCKETING
I bet you give your heart health some thought from time to time.
But what about your liver health?
I’m guessing the answer is no.
In fact, while 72 percent of adults say they’d be greatly concerned if they had a problem with their heart, only 5 percent said the same about their liver.
And that’s a BIG problem.
Because not only does the health of your liver IMPACT your heart risk, but it also impacts how LONG you live.
Liver disease itself is a major health risk. In the UK, for example, it’s already the third leading cause of premature death. And in the United States, it’s rising FAST.
A groundbreaking new study using MRI assessment tools revealed for the first time that patients with the disease have a FAR greater risk of heart failure and other heart-related problems.
In other words, the worse your liver problem is, the greater your heart risk.
The study found that folks with more advanced liver disease have a 27 percent increased risk of a significant heart event, leading to DEATH in 19 percent of the cases.
And those with “clinically significant” liver disease were 38 percent more likely to be hospitalized for a major cardiovascular event.
We can’t afford to ignore the dangers of this devastating disease any longer.
According to the Liver Trust, it’s expected to REPLACE heart disease as the number one cause of death within just a few years.
Years ago, liver disease was almost always linked to alcoholism. This is NOT the case any longer. Cases of NAFLD, or “non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,” are skyrocketing. It occurs when excess fat builds up in your liver.
In most cases, NAFLD doesn’t produce any symptoms. In fact, you could have the condition for a decade or more before you start to notice problems.
The good news here is 90 percent of these cases are preventable because liver disease is a lifestyle disease.
You can prevent NAFLD by…
- maintaining a healthy weight,
- eating more whole (non-processed) foods,
- limiting sugar intake,
- and exercising regularly.
And it’s no coincidence that those SAME steps will reduce your risk for just about any other major (OR minor) disease you can mention.
P.S. Lifestyle changes don’t always happen overnight. So in the meantime, if you want to provide your liver with some extra protection, I’ve got JUST the drink for you. CLICK HERE for the details.
