Shocking New Dairy Guidelines?!
I’ll let you in on a little secret…
Nature always knows best.
And when you MESS with Nature, you always lose.
I’ve seen this firsthand with the appalling adulteration of Nature’s most nutritious beverage: milk.
I’m talking whole-fat, unpasteurized, straight-from-the-cow milk.
For years, the so-called health industry made the public believe that the fat in milk and other dairy products would make you gain weight and give you heart disease.
I knew better, and I continued to drink it as Nature intended. And encouraged others too as well.

But now, the science is finally setting the record straight. And ironically, there’s ONE part of your body that may benefit more than the rest.
It turns out that full-fat dairy is not only good for your overall health—but it’s especially good for your heart. (You know, the very organ they insisted it would HARM.)
The PURE Healthy Diet dietary assessment is intended to predict your mortality and risk of heart attack, stroke, and cardiovascular disease. The score ranges from 0 to 6, with 6 indicating the best diet.
The rating system assigns one point for above-average consumption in each of six categories: fruit, vegetables, nuts, legumes, fish, and (now) whole-fat diary. (It doesn’t subtract points for eating undesirable foods.)
Whole-fat diary was only recently added to the PURE score. And it turns out that adding it in BOOSTED the relationship between healthy eating and heart disease.
In other words, including FULL-FAT dairy in the diet is connected to a lower heart disease risk.
A new study included nearly 150,000 participants from across the world who were followed for nine years.
Compared to the least healthy diet (defined as a score of 1 or less), the healthiest scores (5 or 6) were linked with a…
- 30 percent lower risk of death during the follow-up period
- 18 percent lower risk of cardiovascular disease
- 14 percent lower risk of heart attack
- 19 percent lower risk of stroke
The researchers say it’s time to re-evaluate the guidelines recommending that people avoid full-fat dairy.
This aligns with other recent research confirming that eating full-fat dairy can PROTECT against high blood pressure and metabolic syndrome!
My takeaway? Don’t wait for revised guidelines to start drinking whole milk.
Ultimately, I believe drinking raw (unpasteurized) milk is the BEST option, but I’ll take my wins where I can.
And for today, that means basking in the glow of “I told you so” regarding the health benefits of whole milk.
P.S. Dairy is FINALLY being given the credit it deserves as a health food. But you should dump your milk down the drain if it’s THIS kind.
