"Window to the Soul" Solution Reveals Alzheimer’s Risk
An Alzheimer’s diagnosis is always devastating.
But if you’re faced with this news, the earlier you receive it, the better.
That’s because the sooner you start taking steps to combat this memory-scrambling disease, the better chance you have of slowing its progression down to a crawl.
That’s why the hunt has been on for a SIMPLE way to detect Alzheimer’s as early as possible.
And now, researchers have identified one of the earliest signs yet.
This study was unique because it looked at people who were only 45 years old… which is on the young side to be studying Alzheimer’s disease.
But remember, the earlier the condition is diagnosed, the better. And the results didn’t disappoint.
It turns out that people with thinner retinal nerve fiber layers ALSO had slower mental processing speed.
And slower mental processing speed happens to be one of the first cognitive signs of Alzheimer’s.
The participants also had older-looking brains and other structural abnormalities in their brains.
This connection might seem strange at first. But in reality, the retina is in the back part of your eye and directly connected to your brain.
And because of this close connection, the abnormal processes that occur in the brain can ALSO affect the eyes.
One of the biggest barriers to slowing the progression of Alzheimer’s is that by the time you notice any memory slips and schedule a pricey brain scan, the disease tends to be fairly far along.
Retinal imaging, on the other hand, is quick, FAR cheaper, and widely available.
Now, the current study focused on 45-year-olds, so it may seem like you’ve missed your chance at an early diagnosis. But the fact is the earlier the diagnosis, the better, regardless of whether you’re 45, 55, or 65.
Hitting the pause button on Alzheimer’s progression will benefit you whether you’re one year into the condition or 20.
Tragically, the medical establishment is likely years away from implementing this information into its standard practice. Far too many folks could end up waiting years before they start fighting back.
But it couldn’t hurt to ask your doctor for an eye test now to see where you stand.
P.S. No signs of Alzheimer’s? That’s fantastic! Let’s keep it that way. A recent study highlighted two key nutrients that can BEAT BACK the root cause of dementia. You’ll find all the details here.
