10-Minute Trick FIGHTS Cancer
The moment you’re diagnosed with cancer, your focus INSTANTLY changes.
Instead of thinking about prevention, you want to know precisely how to improve your prognosis.
- You want to reduce the side effects of any treatments you receive.
- You want to improve your quality of life.
- But more than anything, you want to BEAT THE CANCER once and for all!
Fortunately, there’s one 10-minute method that can help you tackle ALL THREE.
Exercise is GREAT for cancer.
For starters, it’s been shown to reduce your risk of a diagnosis in the first place.
But if you already HAVE cancer, research has revealed exercise can improve quality of life, reduce treatment side effects, and ultimately improve your prognosis.
Researchers uncovered a key reason for these impressive results in two recent studies…
The two studies included 28 recently diagnosed lymphoma and breast cancer patients who did 10 minutes of light to moderate exercise on an exercise bike. Just enough to increase their heart rate.
The researchers wanted to compare immune cells (white blood cells) taken before exercising to those taken after the short workout. So blood was drawn before pedaling and at two intervals after the exercise.
In lymphoma patients, 10 minutes on the bike measurably increased the number of cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells in the bloodstream.
In breast cancer patients, the short bout of exercise also increased the number of cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells—PLUS, it boosted the number of total white blood cells, intermediate monocytes, and B cells.
Now I know that might look like a bunch of gobbledygook to you. But trust me when I tell you it reads like a Who’s Who of your body’s best immune fighters.
Cytotoxic immune cells, in particular, are critical because they can DESTROY cancer cells.
The more intense the exercise became (measured by increases in heart rate and blood pressure), the greater the number of immune cells that entered the bloodstream.
This is a critical finding for cancer patients—especially those undergoing standard cancer treatments.
You see, many treatments reduce the number of immune cells in the body. Even worse, they can leave you exhausted and less motivated to get your heart rate up.
So the fact that just 10 minutes of moderate exercise can significantly improve the number of immune cells is an exciting finding.
The increase was almost immediate. But then the number of immune cells returned to normal within about 30 minutes.
It’s yet another reason why regular, daily exercise is so critical.
